She Used it Wrong - not sure WHEN to use it

Using a CopperZap is easy.  Knowing when to use it is not always so easy.  For example:

A lady recently asked about returning her CopperZap.  We always accept returns, but we appreciate it if people are willing to tell us why.  She was very nice and willing to explain on the phone.

It seems she used her CopperZap in her nose one day.  Later that day she was exposed to a sick person, but did not use it again soon after.  Before long she was sick, too, and thought copper hadn’t worked.

She may have expected it to create a lasting shield.  This raises a question:  How long does the shield effect of copper last after you use it?

Our research suggests it leaves a slight temporary trace of copper in the nose and on hands, but any shield effect probably fades during the next half hour to one hour.  If new germs arrive during that time, the trace of copper may kill some of them, but fewer and fewer over time.

So when bad germs arrive, don’t rely on protection from a previous use.  Use your CopperZap again.  The most important time to use it against respiratory viruses is after they arrive but before they make you sick.

This can be tricky.  In the case of cold and flu viruses, you may have enough experience to recognize the warning signs that viruses have arrived, such as a tickle in the nose, a scratchy throat, or a sore spot deep in the throat.

In other cases such as Covid, however, you don’t get a warning sign before symptoms kick in.

So how do you know when you have been exposed?  The answer is you can’t know for sure, but you can know when you may have been exposed.

You may have been exposed when you spend more than just a few seconds near anyone who might be sick.  If someone nearby is coughing, sneezing, or sniffling, it’s obvious you may have been exposed.  But even if no one nearby shows symptoms, they still might have been exposed and could be contagious.

As long as a sneaky virus like Covid is around, nearly anyone might be contagious.  The size of the viral load you may receive depends on how long you are with them and how close you are.  The longer and closer, the sooner you should use your CopperZap briefly in your nose and on your fingers.

We hope the nice lady will try again, but we will still accept a return if she wishes.  Any reason will do, including being too confused about when to use it.

We get very few returns.  We used to get about one and a half per cent (1½%) returned, but that rate has been going down.

Some people who received them as gifts in the past were too skeptical to even try them.  Now more people have heard of copper’s germ-killing effect and are willing to try it.

About half of one percent (½%) were returned in the past for not working, though when we were able to talk with the customer we often found they had not used it right.  That rate seems to be going down, too.  Hopefully we are getting the word out better about how to use it right, which is the point of this email.

We want to correct something said in a previous email, however.  It was written for us by an outside marketing team we no longer use.  It said we get less than 1% returned.  It should have said either less than 1½% returned or less than ½% returned for not working.

We apologize for not catching that error.  We try hard to make sure everything we say is exactly true.

Happy Zapping!
